Preliminary Study Of Syndecan-4 Expression And Meaning In Keloid

Objective: To approach the possible effects of syndecan-4 in theformation of keloid and provided a new method to prevent and treat keloids.Methods: Immunohistochemical technique and RT-PCR was performed to detect theexpression of SDC4 in human keloid and in normal skin; The influence of SDC4 wasobserve on in human keloid fibroblasts by MTT assay. Results: The expression ofSyndecan-4 in human keloid is significantly higher than that in normal skin, andup-regulated Syndecan-4 significantly promotes fibroblast proliferation. Conclusions:Up-regulated Syndecan-4 in keloid plays an important role in the formation of keloid.
