The Study Of Requirement And Establishing Estimate System For PACS

Objectives:By reviewing the development process of PACS(Picture Archiving and Communication System), this study intends to reveal current status and existing problems of PACS in our nation. Based on the current status, a model of PACS requirements from end-user point of view is put forward. By setting up a set of objective and scientific PACS evaluation index system, this study provides theoretical guidelines as well as decision supports for successful PACS deployment. Methods: By reviewing articles, this dissertation overviews limitation of PACS deployments in our country. Also, we explored 6 hospitals which have already deployed PACS as a reference. Combined with detailed requirements investigation in Changhai hospital, this dissertation puts forward theoretical model of PACS user requirements and establishes PACS evaluation index system based on expert-consultation. Results: The deployment strategy and requirement analysis method of PACS is discussed. By establishing the PACS evaluation index system, Changhai hospital employed this system in its PACS-decision making. Conclusion: PACS is the trend for digital health-care organizations. Reasonable user requirements are the base of successful PACS deployments. Good evaluation of biding proposals from PACS manufacturers is the key to successful PACS deployments.
