Objective:The integrative measures are taken to improve the psychological status, reduce the relapse rate and prolong abstinent time after investigating the psychological characters of the drug-addicts and their relatives. To increase the knowledge and the abilities to manager the drug-addicts correctly among the relatives and relieve their psychological and social stress after the drug-addicts are out of detoxification center. The integrative model is explored to prevent the relapse on drug-addicts and to provide scientific evidence for the anti-drug works of government, detoxification center, communities, families and relative organizations, for setting up Chinese characteristic scientific effective anti-drug model. Methods:The non-random control intervention trials are carried out to the members in Wuhan detoxification rehabilitation center based on the cluster sampling and the freewill principle. The control groups are chosen in the different buildings of the same drug rehabilitation center. The musical therapy is given to one of the control group and nothing intervention is given to the other group. The intervention measures contain two aspects. On one hand, we applied some measures including cognitive therapy, psychological therapy, acupuncture treatment, musical relaxation exercises and the special lectures leading to drug-addicts, which lasted 3 months. The content of the lectures include'the harm and the prevention to drug','the drug and the HIV','how to adjust the psychological status'etc. On the other hand, we take some measures to their relatives, which include some lectures and regular follow-up by phone and visit them aperiodically. Questionnaires and the measuring scales are used to obtain the data, which are inputted by EpiData and analyzed by SPSS12.0 and Insightful Miner3.0. Result:10.34% of the intervention group(58 persons) are failure to follow up, in which group the average age is 32.04±5.37 year. The number of the control group A is 65 and 24.62% of them are lost and 22.06% are lost of the group B (68 persons) when following up. The average age of the control groups are 33.24±5.49 and 33.34±6.62 separately. The basic information of the drug-addicts including age, gender, education, the marriage and the occupation among the intervention group and the control groups have no significant difference (p>0.05). The attitude, behaviors support and the relatives'confidence to the drug-addicts treated by their relatives among the groups has no significant difference (p>0.05). The abstinent rates in six months of the drug-addicts among the groups are 25.0 percent, 8.2 percent and 9.4 percent respectively. With theχ2 test there are significant differences of the abstinent rate among the groups (p<0.05). The abstinent rates in 12-months of the drug-addicts among the groups are 21.2 percent, 2.0 percent and 3.8 percent respectively. With theχ2 test there are significant differences of the abstinent rate among the groups (p<0.05). The abstinent rate of the intervention group is higher than the control groups. The abstinent time of the intervention group is prolonged after the intervention (p<0.05). The confidence, attitude and the behaviors of the relatives are the influential factors to the abstinent time with the Cox survival analysis. Conclusion:The psychological status of the drug-addicts and their relatives is improved by the integrative intervention measures. The abstinent rate of the intervention group is higher than before, which indicate that the integrative intervention can prolong the abstinent time and increase the abstinent rate. The anxiety symptom can be improved and the psychological and the social stress can be relieved by the integrative intervention to the relatives of the drug-addicts. The relatives'mental, attitude and the behaviors affect the abstinent time directly. The effective integrative intervention should be given to the drug-addicts and their relatives and the social-supported system should be rebuilt. The scientific evidence can be given to explore and set up Chinese characteristic integrative prevention model to the drug-addicts for the anti-drug works of government, detoxification center, communities, families and relative organizations through this study.
