This paper studies the extraction and analysis of polysaccharides from Acanthopanax senticosus the processing steps are as follows: extract the polysaccharides from Acanthopanax senticosus by 80℃water at first, then deproteinize according to the method of Sevag, and then precipitate thepolysaccharide by ethanol. Phenol-sulfuricacid assay is applied to determinate the polysaccharides content quantitatively. In this method, we adopt 490 nm as the optimum wave length for determination, the relative coeficient of the standard curve of glucose is0 .99956, the linear range is 5 -226wg/mL.The total yield is0.54% of the desiccated Acanthopanax senticosus. The absorbance of the product doesn't change in 160 minutes, product is quitestable. The precision is good, the RSD is not more than1.22% ,and the range of recovery is 97.6%-102.8% The inhibitions of the fraction productions to O2-·and·OH were assayed by the method of pyrogallol in the fenton system. The results show that the antioxidative effect of the fraction productions iS improved with the increase of the quantity of alcoho1.When the quantity of alcohol was 6 times the volume of ASPs filtrate. The elimination rate of the production to O2-·could reach to the highest value of 47.7%.When the quantity of alcohol was 4 times the volume of ASPs filtrate, the elimination rate of the production to·OH could reach to the highest value of68.2% .The inhibition of ASPs to the lipid peroxidation of the erythrocyte membrane Was improved with the inerease of the concentration of ASPs.When the concentration of ASPs Was above 0.4 L.ASPs could not only inhibit the lipid peroxidation but also produce some reductive effect to the erythrocyte membrane.
