AimAstragalus membranaceus Bunge var.mongolicus(Bunge)Hsiao belong to the Leguminosae family,Astragalus genus.It is the most important tonic in traditional Chinese medicine,and posses effect to reinforce "Qi"(vital energy),to strengthen the superficial resistance,and to promote the discharge of pus and the growth of new tissue, and antidiuretic.The research of modern pharmacology suggests that Astragalus membranaceus posses various bio-activities.In this thesis,the EtOAc portion of EtOH extract of the dry root was investigated,in order to accumulate enough quantity and study the bio-activity of the chemical constituents.MethodModern isolation techniques,including Silica gel CC,Sephadex LH-20 CC,TLC,and active carbon CC etc.,were used in the experiment.Spectral methods were used for structure elucidations.ResultsFourteen compounds were isolated from Astragalus membranaceus.The structures of twelve of them were identified on the basis of chemical-physical qualities and spectral methods,together with comparing with data from the literature.ConclusionThe twelve compounds were isolated and characterized as Methylnissolin 3-gluc oside(1),Isomucronulatol 7-glucoside(2),3'-hydroxy-5'-methoxyisoflavone-7-O-β-D-glucopyranosideO),AstragalosideⅡ(4),4'-methoxyiso-flavone-7-O-β-D-glucopyranosi de(5),Methylnissolin(6),β-sitosterol(7),7-hydroxy-4'-methoxyisoflavone(8),7,3'- diohydroxy-5'-methoxyisoflavone(9),Isomucronulatol(10),glucerylα-mono-stearate (11),and AstragalosideⅣ(12).
