Objective: To investigation the expression of EphB4 in colorectal tissue, colorectal carcinoma tissue, and the relationship between its expression and clinical pathologic parameters. Methods: Using tissue microarray and immuohistochemical method, we examined EphB4 expression in 210 colorectal carcinoma tissue and 163 colorectal tissue and retrospectively analyzed the relationship between EphB4 and the clinicopathological parameters. The number of test about EphB4 and data of patients were analyzed by Spss11.0 analysis software. Results: Expression of EphB4 was detected in 45%colorectal carcinoma tissue (95/210) lower than that in normal colorectal tissue, which is 67%(107/163). The correlation could not be found between EphB4 receptor and clinicopathologic parameters of colorectal carcinoma. Conclusion: EphB4 may have some roles to prohibit tumor cell proliferation in colorectal carcinoma tissue after it binds EphB4 receptor.
