| Objective: To explore the expression of transforming growth factor beta receptor(TGFβR) I,II in the chronic rhinosinusitis, nasal polyps and normal nasal mucosa tissues.Methods: The protein expression of the TGFβRI and TGFβRII were determined by means of immunohistochemistry in chronic sinusitis tissues from 25 patients, nasal polyps tissues from 21 patients and inferior turbinate mucosa tissues from 17 patients with deviation of nasal septum. Results: The mean gray score of TGFβRI and TGFβRII expression was 175.78±7.06,165.00±1.79 in inferior turbinates respectively, 147.33±8.15,147.77±4.62 in chronic rhinosinusitis respectively, and 125.91±11.26,129.82±1.46 in nasal polyps respectively.①In chronic rhinosinusitis and nasal polyps tissues, compared with controls, The expression of TGFβRI and TGFβRII protein was increased significantly (P<0.01).②The expression of TGFβRI and TGFβRII protein in nasal polyps tissues was significant increased than that in chronic rhinosinusitis tissues(P<0.01).Conclusion: The different expression pattern of TGFβRI and TGFβRII in chronic rhinosinusitis and nasal polyps tissues indicates TGFβR may play a different role in the pathogenesis chronic sinusitis and nasal polyps. |
