Analysis Of Quality Of Life Of Adult Perennial Allergic Rhinitis Pro&Post-treatment

Objective: To explore the health-relate quality of life(QOL) status of adult patients with perennial allergicrhinitis(AR) by using QOL instruments including existing SF-36 questionnaire(chinese version),and the change of QOL of pro-post treatment , to provide the prevention and cure to allergic rhinitis.Methods: One hundred and twenty(rhinitis group) patients with persistence allergicrhinitis were enrolled by random in northeast of china during January to December in the 2007 . Among the total,68 cases belong to light degree (light degree rhinitis group),52 cases to midst-heavy degree (midst-heavy degree rhinitis group).All of them are given questionnaire investigations before and after 3 weeks norm treatment,including general information and SF-36, the scores of prior treatment of the tow groups compare with health control group ,then compare with the scores of post-treatment the tow groups.Result: 1.The tow groups of prior treatment compare with health examination respectively: The group of patients with light persistence allergicrhinitis revealed that scres of four dimensions such as general health , vitality, role limitations due to physical health ,and role limitations due to emotional problems from patients with light persistence allergicrhinitis were lower than that of control group( P <0.05) .The QOL of patients with midst-heavy persistence allergicrhinitis have great degression( P <0.01).2. The tow groups of post treatment compare with prior treatment respectively:The group of patients with light persistence allergicrhinitis revealed that the scores of tow dimensions such as bodily pain and physical functioning from prior treatment patients with light persistence allergicrhinitis were higher than that of post treatment.however, the scores of three dimensions such as general health , vitality, role limitations due to physical health have a significant elevation.( P <0.01). The group of patients with midst-heavy degree persistence allergicrhinitis: It revealed that scres of social functioning from prior treatment patients with midst-heavy degree persistence allergicrhinitis were higher than that of post treatment( P <0.05),the scres of others have great elevation ( P <0.01).Conclusions: allergicrhinitis influence the quality of life of patients seriously.QOL instruments such as Chinese version of SF-36 questionnaires can effectively differentiate the QOL status between patients with allergicrhinitis and health individuals.By norm clinical treatment,the QOL have a great improvement in patients with persistence allergicrhinitis,comparing with prior treatment.
