So The print chromatogram of herbal medicine real represent how to value and control the quality of herbal medicine, especialy to those unknown compositions.This paper studied the original botanical characters and pharmacological traits of Coptis Chinensis Franch which is plant in Chongqing.and known its microstructure; Mensurated the total content of alkaloids and the concent of the Berberine in Coptis chinensis Franch which is located at an altitude of 1850 m,l-5 years old, and the 1750m, the 2-5 year old in Shizhu, Hubei, Sichuan, Henan and Yunnan solded in market, Coptis chinensis Franch in Japan by Ultraviolet spectrophotometry and HPLC. The results show that the content of the Berberine and the total content of alkaloids in Yunnan(number 2) and Japan (number15) is little. At the same time, in other places, there is no significant difference. Which the Berberine content is between 5% and 8% .This number shows that Coptis chinensis Franch, which is sold on the market in various; parts of China has good uality,and has more ffective omponents.By UV spectrophotometry,mensurated the toltel contents of alkaloids in different altitudes and different years at Shizhu county in Chongqing, This results show that the altitudes and years has no effects on the toltel contents of alkaloids in the 2-5 year- Coptis chinensis Franch. Comparing the total alkaloid content from different parts of Coptis chinensis Franch, it can be see, root> fibrous root> leaf; And in the same altitudes, the main components of 2-5 year-Coptis chinensis Franch is in close. But 2-3-year- Coptis chinensis Franch whose rhizomes is small, not full, more fibrous root, and powder is not strong enough.4-5-year-old root more sturdy, full; the content in only one-year-old Coptis is lower than others, Mensuring the content of the Berberine in Coptis chinensis Franch flower by HPLC, found that the concent of Berberine is 1.25 %, and according to some literatures, there is a large number of amino acids in Coptis chinensis Franch flowers which is needed in human being. The flower of Coptis chinensis Franch can be developed as a good health care food products.By analysising the concent of the Berberine in every samples, optimizing the distilled and HPLC chromatogram conditions, the chemical composition HPLC chromatogram in different places was established, and the quality regulation in Coptis chinensis Franch was perfected. At the same times,from the key concent in Coptis chinensis Franch,building HPLC chromatogram of Berberine in Coptis chinensis Franch from different altitudes and years,it can provide credible evidences for canonical planting. And we can find the growthing rule of quality at Shizhu county in Chongqing through mensurating the toltel content of alkaloids in the fibrous root and leaf, in the future,we can think about the condition of overshadow, moisture, temperature and the condition of fertilization to improve and assure the output,we also offer the credible theoretic direction for its canonical planting.
