The Dynamic Analysis About Tuberculosis Control And The Primary Social Evaluation On The Project In The New District

Objective: We discussed the availability and disturbance of obtaining basic medical service for vulnerable group by investigating the recognition of preventive knowledge to TB and the related behavior of the target people. Then, combining with the database of TB controlling project during 1993 to 2006, to inquire the problems, find the solve of them, supply document for advocating the project, provide foundation to control of TB prevalence. Methods: We examined the borderline cases and all of the patients who were transferred from hospital and got access to free treatment with the help of "dots" questionnaires, which is a modern strategy to Tb control. To fulfill our objectives, we collected, analyzed the database of TB control project in New District CDC of Urumqi. Result: As far as the recognition rate of doubtful symptom concerned, the borderline cases show 53.2%, resident 63.2%, the difference has no significance, but it has influence for age and income on different people. When it comes to the understandings of "dots", 4.5% people shows understandings before the operation of it, but this percent rose to 94.5% after the explanations of the strategy. We found that although the project was being advocated endlessly, the prevalence of TB still present an increasing trend, especially the male and the Uighur nationality. We can see the good management of most of the patients yet, in addition, "dots" is useful to the high curative ratio of both original and secondary treatment. Conclusion: after the advocating of "dots", people know more about the related knowledge of TB control project, be willing to do after the demands of professional public health doctors. The results infer that if we develop the project according to the obstacle factors, patients' choice of finding help would turn to CDC instead of other unprofessional institute. The control of TB is a social issue which couldn't be solved only through a certain project. The discover of strong mutant bacterial, the raising of people's awareness of preventive health, the sustain of society, all of which have an impact on this problem. Furthermore, the data we got also remind us the project make no effect on the increasing of TB prevalence. So, the real reason for it should be researched on depth.
