A Study On Fibrinogen Gene Polymorphism (β-148C/T) In Uygur Patients With Cerebral Infarction In Xinjiang | Posted on:2009-05-30 | Degree:Master | Type:Thesis | Country:China | Candidate:X B Guo | Full Text:PDF | GTID:2144360242999932 | Subject:Internal Medicine | Abstract/Summary: | PDF Full Text Request | Objective: To explore the frequency distribution of fibrinogen gene polymorphism (β-148C/T) and its relationship with plasma fibrinogen (Fg) level in Uygur patients with cerebral infarction in Xinjiang. Methods: The frequency distribution of Fgβ-148C/T was analyzed by polymerase chain reaction-restriction fragment length polymorphism (PCR-RFLP) method in Uygur cerebral infarction group (n=62) and Uygur controlled group without cerebral infarction (n=64). Plasma Fg level was measured by the automatic cruor analysis instrument. Results: The frequency of T allele in the cerebral infarction group was significantly higher than that in the controlled group (0.31 vs 0.19, P<0.05). The plasma Fg level of the cerebral infarction group was also significantly higher than the controlled group ((4.19±1.29 vs 3.08±0.56) g/L, P<0.01). The plasma Fg levels both in CT and TT genotype subgroups in patients with cerebral infarction were higher than those in the CC genotype subgroups (P<0.01). And they were higher than those in the CT and TT genotype subgroups in the controlled group (P<0.05). Conclusion: The fibrinogen gene polymorphism (β-148C/T) plays a role by T allele or with other dangerous factors increasing the plasma Fg level in the occurrence mechanism of cerebral infarction. The fibrinogen gene polymorphism (β-148C/T) maybe is a susceptible factor of cerebral infarction related to the plasma Fg level and the occurrence of the disease. Such conclusion is same with similar research on Han nationality in China .
