Study On Standardization In Medicinal Quality Criteria Of Pterospermum Heterophyllum

The resources of Chinese crude drug is abundance in GuangDong province,there are about thousands species of Chinese crude drug,but they were not investigated Systematical,so it is important to research them.The native GuangDong herb Pterospermum heterophyllum recorded in The record of LingNan Mining Drug,but it is not included in Chinese Pharmacopoeia.The part of the drug used in GuangDong is the dried root of Pterospermum heterophyllum Hance.It can be mined the whole year.The obtained root is cleaned,cut into fragment,sun drying.It is sweet flavor,micro-astringent taste, some warm in property,belonging the Liver Meridian,The Kidney Meridian.It can expel pathogenic wind and remove dampness,relax muscles and tendons to promote blood circulation,so it can be used to heal rheumatism,lumbocrural pain,hemiplegia.,limb paralysis,traumatic injury,postpartum paralysis.There are many other species(example:witchhazed,araliaceae,moraceae, lauraceae)besides the variety used in GuangDong,but there are so little research about the appreciation,quantitative analysis not only in the Pterospermum heterophyllum but also in others.We investigated the resource,characters,micro diagnostic characteristics, physiochemical identification method,moisture,total ash,heavy metal,pesticide residue, extractive and assaying about the botanical origins and substitute by chemical analysis and instrument analysis,we formulated and normalized the quality criteria about the native GuangDong herb Pterospermum heterophyllum in accordance with Chinese Pharmacopoeia and the state technical requirement on new drug.We hope the result of this topic can help the produce,quality control and clinical medication.1.The study of the literatureSum up the origin,chemical composition,pharmacological action on the current situation of research at home and abroad,summarize the method about the identification and assessment of TCD.2.Empirical study (1)Research of the breedThere are 5 families,8 generas,14 species in our country,Dendropanax chevalieri (Vig.)Merr.,Semiliquidambar cathayensis Chang and Pterospermum heterophyllum Hanc are frequently used.(2)Identification of originThe official name is Pterospermum heterophyllum,there are other names:,Semiliquidambar cathayensis,sun and shade leaves,iron palm.Latin name: Pterospermum heterophy llum Hance.Disposition:GuangDong,GuangXi,FuJian, TaiWan.(3)Sample collection and descriptionOn the basis of 11 batches of samples,the character of the drug are irregular junk or portion,beige or dust color,a few wrinkle,some scars like root.The skin areas is thin and dark brown,xylem wood areas is dilute brow or marron,has annulation or radial symmetry,two areas can be segregated easily.There is a dark brown core in center of the medical material as commodity.The drug is hard and difficult to be fractured.There is feeble QI and sapidity a little astringent taste.(4).Microscopic and chemical identification characteristicsWe found the specificity microstructure of the drug though the micro about cross section and powder.The control article and the experimental article had identical color spot in the same position in the color spectrum though plate chromatography.(5)AnalysisWe determined the moisture,ash content,heavy metal,pesticide residues of 5 batchs drug obtained from different places.Making Standard:moisture≤10.0%,ash content≤0.60%,heavy metal must be consistent with the limit of the national standard (plumbum≤5.0mg/kg;cadmium≤0.3mg/kg;arsenicum≤2.0mg/kg;hydrargyr≤0.2mg/kg), organochlorine and organophosphorus should not be detected.(6)ExtractumOn the base of the determination of 5 blatchs grug,it is suitable that water soluble extractive should be≥9.87%,alcohol-soluble extractive.should be≤3.24%.(7)Assaying and quality criteriaHPLC fingerprint of the Pterospermum heterophyllum obtained from different places was used for the assaying.Quality criteria was formulated,The quality criteria should including the name,scheme of the Chinese phonetic alphabet,Latin name, resource,character,discriminate,checking,extractum,assaying,processing drugs, property and flavor,meridian distribution,function,indication,usage and dosage, storage and so on.
