Objective: To find a simple, objective and accurate, easy to hospitals in the promotion of the vast number of pressure measurement method for osteofascial compartment syndrome in the early diagnosis of objective basis.Method: 1. Selected 20 healthy adult rabbits (sex is ignored, 1.80-2.30Kg Weight) from the Experimental Animal Center of Guangxi Medical University. Measuring the osteofascial compartent pressure in the anterolateral of tibia by manometric method of vertical column and traditional whiteside . Then using the cuff which the width is similar to the leg of rabbit enveloping the shank, so that pressure is maintained at the inflatable 40 KPa about eight hours with a view to forming compartment syndrome model, re-measured the pressure. 2. Randomly selected 60 normal adults and measured the pressure in the osteofascial compartent anterolateral of tibia by manometric method of vertical column and traditional whiteside . Through comparing the traditional method with the method of vertical water column systematically and understanding the difference and correlation and finding its relationship. 3. Clinical suspicion of osteofascial compartment syndrome in patients of the experimental methods used to measure, and further compare their clinical value. Results: According to measure the osteofascial compartent pressure in the anterolateral of tibia under resting state and osteofascial compartment syndrome model of rabbits and normal peasons, we can not find manometric method of vertical water column and traditional whiteside having significant difference. At the same time the patients which were suspected having osteofascial compartment syndrome were measured to prove that its operation is simple, with stability and repeatability. Conclusion: vertical water column pressure method is simple, objective and accurate results for the clinical.
