| Objective: To evaluate the effect of treatment of Pilon fracturewith anatomic plate.Methods: Twenty cases of Pilon fracture were treated throughtypical ORIF (open reduction and internal fixation) with anatomic plate between 2005 and 2007.According to the Rüedi-Allg?wer classification,there were 5 cases of type I fracture, 5 cases of type II fracture and 10 cases of type III fracture. The average period of follow-up was 16 months(4一30months).Result: Using the Mazur's criterion of ankle joint, we got result of excellent in 11 cases, good in 7 cases and fair in 2 cases. No poor result was found. Complications included infection in 1 case, incision delayed in 6 cases, delayed union in 1 case.Conclusion: Selecting good time to operation through ORIF and using anatomic plate are effective methods to improve the clinical results of Pilon fracture. |
