The Influence Of Tongxinluo Capsules On The Treatment Of Chronic Congestive Heart Failure

Objective:To oberserve the total effective rates in control groups and in Tongxinluo treatment groups respectly;Cardiac gradings were oberserved such as LVDD,LVMI,EF,SV,CO,andCI and by ultrasonic echocardiogram. To oberserve the influence of Tongxinluo on the treatment of chronic congestive heart failure.Methods:Fifty-five patients suffering from chronic congestive heart failure were randomly divided into two groups:Patients in control group (n=25) were treated by routine western medicine therapy .Patients in Tongxinluo treatment group (n=30) were treated by combination of Tongxinluo capsules and routine therapy .In order to evaluate effects before and after treatment, symptoms of heart failure and ultrasonic echocardiogram were observed.Results:The total effective rates of treatment group and control group were 86.7%,76.0% respectly . The total effective rates in treatment group were superior to those in control group(p<0.05) .Cardiac gradings such as LVDD and LVMI were lowered .Improving of EF,SV,CO and CI in Tongxinluo treatment group were superior to those in control group.(p<0.05) No obvious side effects were found during the treatment.Conclusion : Tongxinluo capsule combined with western medicine therapy can obviously improve the function of left ventricle .Tongxinluo capsule has a definite effect on the treatement of chronic congestive heart failure.
