Intelligent Information Decision System (IIDS) for common infectious diseases is the application of computer science in the field of medical care. It is mainly faced to medical workers and young students, and we want to realize scientificity, superiority, heuristic and scalability of the system. The application of the system will realize localization of intelligent decisions, eliminate the difference caused by different level of medical conditions and treatment, which will pave the new way for spread of health knowledge. Meanwhile, the system popularization in college will help students grasp the knowledge for ailments prevention, enhance its self-protection consciousness, form a good sanitary habit. The study has theoretic and instructive significance for popularizing prevention knowledge of infectious diseases and for improving diagnostic accuracy.The system design mainly including two parts: firstly, the construction and maintenance of backstage database. And the second, application program develop of foreground. The whole design require for a functional program with a complete database. Microsoft Visual Basic is adopted as develop tool, which can realize visualization and object-oriented programming, thus system application protype is easily built, then the satisfied practical system is got through adjustment, modification and improvement of the protype.The system is composed of knowledgebase, inference machine, human-computer interface, explanation modular, and etc. According to the client input, the corresponding knowledge source is activate, then inference mechanism is working, and at last, the conclusion is got by some kind of rules. The uniform table process technology and dialog box is used in human-computer interface, which is simple, intuitionistic and convenient.
