The Comparative Study Of Treatment In Experimental Spinal Cord Injury By FTY720 With FK506

The comparative study of treatment in experimental spinal cord injury by FTY720 with FK506ObjectiveTo compare the differences of neuroprotective effect between FTY720 and FK506 on spinal cord injury(SCI).MethodsA total of 48 male rats were divided randomly into 4 groups:(A)the test group treated with FTY720;(B)the test group treated with FK506;(C)the injured group and(D)the control group.While A-C group were enrolled to establish SCI models using Allen method before treated.The neurological function score and immunohistochemical examination were assessed at certain time after injury.ResultsThe group of FTY720 is better than the group of FK506 in the detection of Inclined Plate Test scores,BBB scales and SEP test.In injury group,a large number of neuronal death could be seen and pathological changes in treatment group were better than those in injury group.The lightest pathological changes is in the test group treated with FTY720 group.ConclusionEarly use both of FTY720 or FK506 are capable of treating SCI,and the role of FTY720 is superior to FK506.
