Objective:To prepare the argentation medical polypropylene mesh and detect its antibiosis-nature and mechanics efficiency.Methods:Argentum was used as antibacterial agent to prepare the argentation medical polypropylene mesh with chemistry liquid phase the meshes with Rochelle salt as reducing agent. Antibiosis-nature of the meshes of argentation group(n=10) and control group(n=10)was quantitatively and qualitatively analyzed with slip diffusion method and soaking method. Detect its argented anteroposterior mechanics efficiency with INSTRON 1011 material mechanics testing- machine.Results: Slip diffusion method (qualitation):bacteriostasis -collares were not manifest and Staphylococcus aureuses apposition growthed in meshwork of the control group(8mm×8mm×0.65mm) at 1d,3d,7d ; bacteriostasis-collares apart were (13.56±1.07)mm,(13.79±0.89)mm,(13.71±0.88)mm of the argentation group(8mm×8mm×0.65mm)at 1d,3d,7d. The antibiosis-natures were significantly different between the two groups(P<0.05). The difference of different time points was not significant(P>0.05). Soaking method (quantitation) : 60min: the mean of the coenobium number of the control group was 572±21 in culture capsule , the mean of the coenobium number of the argentation group was 117±9 in culture capsule ,and bacteriostasis rate was 96.73%. The antibiosis-natures were significantly different between the two groups(P<0.05). 120min: the mean of the coenobium number of the control group was 368±17 in culture capsule , the mean of the coenobium number of the argentation group was 66±5 in culture capsule ,and bacteriostasis rate was 97.45%. The antibiosis-natures were significantly different between the two groups(P<0.05). 240min: the mean of the coenobium number of the control group was 7±2 in culture capsule , the mean of the coenobium number of the argentation group was 0 in culture capsule, the antibiosis-natures were not significantly different between the two groups(P>0.05).The difference of different time points was not significant(P>0.05). Mechanics efficiency testing: mechanics efficiency of argentation medical polypropylene mesh is almost invariably after argentation, and it provides enough Tensile strength for abdominal wall.Conclusion:Argentation medical polypropylene mesh has positive antibiosis-nature, and the antibiosis-nature dose not change markedly with time as lapsed; mechanics efficiency of argentation medical polypropylene mesh is almost invariably after argentation, and it provides enough Tensile strength for abdominal wall.
