The Clinical Study About Therapy Of Iontophoresis Of Chinese Drug Treatment On Diabetic Nephropathy

Objective:Diabetic nephropathy is one of common and serious complications of diabetes mellitus,which is the major cause for DM death.As soon as the patients continue to have urinary protein,the symptom is getting worse.This research will study the therapeutic efficacy of therapy of iontophoresis of Chinese drug in treating diabetic nephropathy.Based on traditional Chinese medicial theories,through systematic clinical observation,the therapeutic efficacy in treating diabetic nephropathy will be discussed,and clinical and practical evidence for the treatment diabetes mellitus will also be provided.Method:50 patients with2 type clinical-stage diabetic nephropathy were divided into 2 groups:the treatment group(25 patients)was treated with therapy of iontophoresis of Chinese.The 2 groups were given basic treatments at the same time.All patients were treated for 3 months.The TCM syndromes were observed.Moreover,FBG,PBG,24hupq,Scr and BUN were measured and compared before and 3 months after starting the treatment.Result:The recipe in treating diabetic nephropathy ameliorate the clinic symptom of the patients obviously.(1)Judging from satistics,the difference was significant compared to the control group(P＜0.05),there were no obvious differences in all symptoms between the two groups before the treatment according to satistics(P＞0.05).The patients'symptoms improved significantly after the treatment compared with those of the control group(P＜0.05).(2)There were no significant differences in either FBG or blood lipid before and after the treatment(P＞0.05),and no obvious differences can be seen between groups(P＞0.05).It indicates that blood glucose is within the regulated limits during the research in both groups.The possible impact on GFR due to the high level of blood glucose could also be excluded.(3)The function of kidneys of the patients in treatment group has been improved greatly(P＜0.05).It also happened in control group,but the improvement is too slight to be taken into consideration.(4)The patients' 24hupq in the treatment group decreased sharply after the treatment(P＜0.01).The differences between groups does exists(P＜0.05).The results show that therapy of iontophoresis of Chinese drug can surly achieve the purpose of cure for diabetic nephropathy by improving kidney function and decreasing urinary protein.Conclusion:The study indicates that the recipe in treating diabetic nephropathy through therapy of iontophoresis of Chinese drug can:(1)improve the total efficiency rate of treatment up to 72%,which is superior to 56%of the control group.There is no obvious side effects among patients during the period of treatment;(2)improve symptoms of patients with clinical-stage DN,especially for those suffering from waist and knees are likely to feel sour and weak.Chinese medicine symtoms declined obviously after the treatment;(3)obviously decrease urinary protein excretion,regulate glomerular filtration function,protect nephron and can help to slower the progress of diabetic nephropathy.
