OBJECTIVE:Make an interfering control study on rational antibacterial use during perioperative, and explore the intervention model for the prophylactic antibacterials use and promote rational use of drugs in our hospital.METHODS:In order to find out the main problems in prophylactic application of antibacterial during perioperative, three hundred cases with typeⅠandⅡincisions, which were done in the first half of 2006 were selected as non-intervention group. And then develop a guideline of treatment on antibacterial prophylaxis, such as "Implement detailed rules of antibacterial clinical use in hospital","Regulation of preventive use of antibacterials in surgery","Classified management catalogue of antibacterials",and so on.The guideline was formulated refer to the international guideline and the national experience.Elective cases of typeⅠandⅡincisions in the first half of 2007 were selected as intervention group, and then investigate the application of prophylactic antibacterials.RESULTS:The rational rate of antibacterial use increased from 22.00%(before intervention)to 81.33%(P<0.01)(after intervention). The base rational rate increased from 9.33%(before intervention)to 10.33%(P<0.01)(after intervention); There were some problems during perioperation before intervention, such as irrational choice of antibacterial, incorrect time administration of drug and over-long course of drug treatment. And these problems were improved significantly after intervention.CONCLUSIONS:The formulation and implementation of standardized use of prophylactic antibacterial programs during operation are proved practicable and effective, and the other intervention methods of rational drug use are the same too. They will have a safe, effective and economic effect on the rational antibiotic use in our hospital, which is worth for reference.
