Objective To observe the change of interleukin-17(IL-17)in peripheral blood and endothelial function by endothelin-1(ET-1),nitric oxide(NO)of pulmonary hypertension(PH)associated with congenital heart disease(CHD),and collect the correlation factors of clinical datas,to discuss the role IL-17 in the development of CHD with PH.Methods 60 patients(CHD Group)with left-to-right shunt,including 30 patients with normal pulmonary arterial pressure(NPH group)and 30 patients with pulmonary hypertension(PH group),30 healthy control subjects(NC Group) were selected for study.Plasma IL-17,ET-1,NO levels were measured in the CHD Group and NC Group by enzymelinked immunsorbent assay(ELISA)or nitrate reductase way.The correlation factors of clinical datas(general circulation systolic pressure,hemoglobin content,platelet count)were collected.Results(1)Plasma IL-17 level was significantly higher in Group CHD than in NC group(p<0.05).Plasma IL-17 level was significantly higher in Group PH group than in NPH group and NC group(p<0.05 and p<0.05,respectively). There was a positive correlation between plasma IL-17 concentration and pulmonary arterial systolic pressure(sPAP)(r = 0.78,p<0.05).(2)Plasma ET-1 level was significantly higher in Group CHD than in NC group(p<0.05),and plasma NO level was significantly lower in Group CHD than in NC group(p<0.05),sPAP had a linear positive correlation with plasma ET-1 concentration(r=0.623,P<0.05)and there was a negative correlation between plasma NO concentration and sPAP(r =-0.553,P<0.05).(3)The Hb content and PLT count levels were significantly higher in Group PH than in NPH group(p<0.05).Conclusion IL-17 can regulate the function of endothelial cell to effect PH in patients with left-to-right shunt,and PH can lead to Hb content and PLT count abnormal.
