Comparision Between Neuroretinal Rim Volume And Rim Area And Its Value For Diagnosis In Primary Open Angle Glaucoma

Objective To compare neuroretinal rim volume(RV) and rim area(RA) and to assess the value for early diagnosis in POAGMethods All candidates were divided into three groups(31-40 years old, 41-50 years old, 51-60 years old),using Heileberg Retina Tomography(HRT) to examine retinal disk, and the RV/RA were compared.Result RV/RA in normal group was 0.310±0.015, 0.288±0.018, 0.274±0.014; in glaucoma group was 1.201±0.235, 0.889±0.238, 0.721±0.114.Statistic analysis with T-test (t=2.511-3.927,p=0.000-0.02) show there were significant differences between nomal and POAG group (p=0.000).Concisions RV/RA is a significant parameter in diagnosis of POAG...
