Objective: To evaluated the effect of CRRT in obstetrics patients with multiple organ dysfunction syndromes, especially with acute renal dysfunction.Method: To review the literature of MODS and CRRT, as well as the cases in our institution involved with MODS caused by obstetric factors in recent years. Then by analyzing the parameters of SIRS,renal function and coagulation function before and after the CRRT。Results: Causation of the MODS in the Obstetric, followed by Postpartum hemorrhage, hypertensive disorder complicating pregnancy . The blood clotting system is the first system involved. All of the 16 cases had DIC ,while 13 of that had acute renal dysfunction and 8 had respiratory disfunction. The effect of CRRT in controlling the level of serum creatinine , urea nitrogen and serum Kal is appreciable : 24h after the treatment the levels showed statistically significant decreases (P<0.05). Meanwhile, significant improvements were observed in pulse, respiration, the PLT count and Fib. The death rate of MODS in this study presented lower than that in literature ,but it was still related to the quantity of that organs involved. Conclusions: In Obstetrics, postpartum hemorrhage is also the first cause of MODS, but the prognosis is better than hypertensive disorder complicating pregnancy which is following. Blood clotting system is the first system involved, the second is kidney. CRRT can keep the liquid-electrolyte balance and control the level of serum creatinine, urea nitrogen. It improve the renal function, even in the situation of DIC. it can improve the prognosis of Obstetric patients with MODS.
