This thesis was consisted of five parts. The extraction and separation of chemical constituents from the bark of Myrica rubra, the structure modification of diarylheptanoids, the active test of the compound named rubanol, studying the content of myricanol in the bark of M. rubra, and the review on chemistry and biological activity research of plants belonging to Myrica, were reported respectively. 14 compounds were isolated from the bark of M. rubra in the first part, and 12 of them were identified, including 2 compounds of new skeleton. 4 diarylheptanoid compounds along with 1 new diarylheptanoid compounds were attained in the structure modification part. The third part introduced the anti-tumor activity test of the compound named robanol, and the IC50 value was 16μg/mL. The determination part showed the result that the average level of myricanol in M. rubra was 2.18 %.In the first part, the experiments of isolation and analysis had been done by using modern technology. 14 compounds, including 4 diarylheptanoid, were isolated from the bark of M. rubra, and 12 of them were identified. Rubanol and rubanone which were 2 diarylheptanoid with new skeleton were also isolated. In the second part, the structures of myricanol and rubanol had been modified by using modern means, and 5 derivatives of diarylheptanoids were obtained in this part.In the third part, according to cellularing survival rates of human lung cancer cell named A549, the anti-tumor activity of the compound named rubanol which was isolated from M. rubra was detected. The IC50 value was 16μg/mL, which was obtained by experiments of SRB preliminary, cell apoptosis with Hoechst 33258 karyotin, agarose gel electrophoresis and flow cytometry. In the fourth part, the content of myricanol in the bark of M. rubra was studied by HPLC method with home-made myricanol as reference substance. The results indicated that myricanol showed good linear relationships with peak area in the range of 2.552~12.76μg. This method possessed better precision, repeatability and stability. In the fifth part, the chemistry and biological activity research of plants belonging to Myrica in recent years was reviewed. It will be helpful in studying on medicinal resource of this genus plants.
