Ziziphora clinopodioides Lam. is a plant which belong to the Labiatae family. It is a perennial subshrub. Its Uyghur name is Suze. The whole plant has a strong mint flavor. It has a well curative effect on anti-inflammatory, shortness of breath, sweating, edema, cough, bronchitis, lung abscess, and other diseases, especially for the treatment of heart disease and hypertension. At present, domestic and foreign researchers had done some research for its organic components and the volatile components, but has nor studied its trace elements, essential oil, fatty acids. Therefore, the study of Ziziphora clinopodioides Lam.'s chemical components will provide an important scientific basis for the application and pharmacological mechanism of this drug, and this research can also do something for the development of drugs which use Ziziphora clinopodioides Lam.as its major components .In chapter one, the status of trace elements and Ziziphora clinopodioides Lam.'s research were reviewed. In chapter two, the method of digest and determination was established. It is identified that the conditions of the flame atomic absorption spectrometry, meanwhile the recovery experiment has been done. The results show that the contents of Cu, Zn, Fe, Mg, Ca, Ni are in a great difference. The Ca's content is the highest one, followed by Mg, Fe, Cu, Zn, Ni. In chapter three, the method of primary speciation analysis and its determination was established. The trace elements's content of the decoction, suspended state, and soluble state have been determinated, meanwhile its parameter of primary speciation analysis has been explored. The results show that the highest extractive rate is Mg, and the remaining are Cu, Ca, Zn, Fe, Ni. The residual rate is between 30.30 %~70.15 % . The maximum immerse-residue ratio is Mg, Ni is the lowest element. Particle absorption rate is low, which is between 4.78%~22.58%.In chapter four, the method of secondary speciation analysis and its determination was established. The trace elements's content of organic and inorganic state, dissociate and nondissociate state, and the state in octanol - Water distribution system have been determinated. The results show that Zn, Cu, Ni mainly exist as the non-free state and the organic state. With the pH increasing, the six elements'content which in the the octanol are increase, while water-soluble states content decrease with pH increased. In chapter five, a comparative experiment has been done for essential oil extraction method, and it has been determined the optimum extraction method is using extracting volatile oil device. 67 compounds were identified by GC-MS technology. In chapter six, fatty acids of Ziziphora clinopodioides Lam. were extracted by petroleum ether. Different methods had been used for synthesizing fatty acids methyl ester. The results show that the fatty acid is methyl esterificated better by reflux H2SO4-MeOH. Using GC-MS separation technologies, 9 fatty acids were identified.Chapter seven is the conclusion of this article.
