Objective:To find out and analyze parameters affecting long-term survival of patients with T2 stage transitional cell carcinoma of bladder, and offer consultant for the diagnosis & treatment of the disease.Methods:1.From 1984 to 2004,105 patients with T2M0 transitional cell carcinoma of bladder were newly diagnosed,of which 85 patients were followed up.Pick up pathological and clinical feathers from these medical record.2.10 possible survival-related factors including:regional lymph nodes metastasis, grade, multiple tumors, tumor shape, diameter of the tumor, carcinoma in situ, course over 2 month, drugs used in intravesical instillation and surgery method were screened out from 14 variables in the first step by single factor analysis method.3.Analyze on these possible survival-related factors by Cox's proportional hazard model.Results:1.The 3-year and 5-year disease specific survival rates were 77.65%and 65.88%2.Parameters affecting the long-term survival were as follows:regional lymph nodes metastasis(the hazard ratio was 4.809),course over 2 month(the hazard ratio was 3.035),grade(the hazard ratio was 2.781),multiple tumors(the hazard ratio was 2.710),protuberance-shaped tumor(the hazard ratio was 3.808),carcinoma in situ,(the hazard ratio was 5.988),intravesical instillation of bacille Calmette-Guerin is superior than the instillation of mitomycin C(the hazard ratio was 0.692).Conclusions:1.BCG instillation is a better choice especially in patients with carcinoma in situ, while patients who can't endure its side effects can choose the instillation of drugs such as mitomycin C2.Different surgery method have no significant influence on the prognosis of patients;but for patients with regional lymph nodes metastasis, radical surgery is a better choice.3.Survival time and life quality can be improved by prompt diagnosis and treatment.
