Meanwhile 30 persons examined to be healthy were chosen as the contrasted group. Thus there were three groups in the research: the dampness-heat PD patients group (Group One), the blood -stasis PD patients (Group Two) , and the contrasted group(Group Three). First, the NIH-CPSI scores of the 60 PD patients were gained through clinical observation. Then, the ET-1 level of the three groups were measured by radioimmunoassay. Last, the obove data were analysized with SPSS 13.0 by statistics persons who have no knowledge about the study or relation to it. (X|-)±s is used in tested data while t-test used in measurement data. The correlation test was done through Spearman, in which p<0.05 stands for statistical significance. Results: the ET-1 levels in Group One and Group Two are apparently higher than that of Group Three. Group One and Two are significantly different from Group Three in ET-1 level. The ET-1 level in Group Two is slightly higher than that of Group One, but they have no significant difference. The PD patients' ET-1 level has no correlation with NIH-CPSI Scores. Conclusions: the ET-1 level of dampness-heat PD patient and -blood stasis PD patient is obviously higher than that of the normal persons. ET-1 can be one of the laboratorary mdex of PD diagnosis. The ET-1 level of Group One and Group Two have no significant difference, so ET-1 can not be as the index to identify the syndrome of dampness-heat and syndrome of blood stasis . However, according to the theory of dampness-heat leading to stasis, the results can be used to interpret the possibility that dampness-heated PD would lead to microscopic pathological changes of blood stasis,so the ET-1 level could be used as a laboratorary index of blood -stasis PD. The result that the ET-1 of PD patients has no correlation with NIH-CPSI shows that ET-1 can not be used to evaluate PD patients' pain and PD influence on life. It needs further research and study when ET-1 is used as an effectional index in therapeutic evaluation. | | Keywords/Search Tags: | Prostatodynia (PD), Endothelin-1(ET-1), Syndrome of Dampness-heat, Syndrome of Blood-stasis | PDF Full Text Request | Related items |
