Purpose:To investigate lesion patterns on CT or MRI and stroke patterns of symptomatic patients with middle cerebral artery stenosis or occlusive disease.Methods:58 patients with middle cerebral artery stenosis or occlusive disease diagnosed by TCD.They were performed by the lesions on CT or MRI and clinical symptoms.Chi-Square test,Logistic regression analysis were performed. Results:According to the lesions on CT or MRI,58 patients with middle cerebral artery stenosis or occlusive disease were categorized as corical territory infarction (22.41%),border zone infarction(24.14%),perforating artery infarction(55.17%) and normality(12.07%).The patients with MAC occlusion and severe stenosis were susceptive to had cortical branch infarction and centrum semiovale infarction. It showed that the occurance of clinical symptoms in 58 patients with middle cerebral artery stenosis or occlusive disease is partial anterior circulation infarction(PACI: 48.28%),lacunar cerebral infarction(LACI:22.41%),total anterior circulation infarction(TACI:5.17%) and a part of patients that occurred headache, dizziness,TIA or normality.Compared with LACI and PACI subtype prevalence of MAC stem occlusion in patients with TACI subtype was higher, the difference was significant (P<0.01).Conclusion:1.The most common stroke patterns of middle cerebral artery stenosis or occlusive patients are perforating artery infarction.2.The main subpattern of clinical symptomical pattern of severe stenosis or occlusive of middle cerebral artery is partial anterior circulation infarction, and a part of patients only occurred headach, dizziness,TIA or normality.Various lesion patterns on CT or MRI and stroke patterns of symptomatic could happened in patients with severe stenosis or occlusive of middle cerebral artery, there are a part of patients with middle cerebral artery stenosis can develop to middle cerebral artery occlusion. We must pay attention to these patients,in order to give accurate therapy in time to avoid the occlusion.
