Objective To explore the relationship between clinical severity of heart failure and CNP, and ADM plasma levels in patients with chronic heart failure. Methods 115 patients with CHF which were divided into 3 groups according to NYHA (classⅡ,classⅢ,classⅣ) and 40 controls were randomly enrolled.CNP,ADM plasma levels were measured by radioimmunoassay,LVEF of the patients with CHF were collected by ultrasonic cardiogram. Results 1,The CNP,ADM plasma levels of the patients with CHF(CNP:40.02±21.19 pg/ml;ADM:71.38±29.30 pg/ml) were much higher than the controls(CNP:14.46±4.54pg/ml,ADM:21.90±6.58pg/ml,p<0.01).2,In classIl(CNP:23.59±5.28 pg/ml,ADM:43.34±4.78 pg/ml p<0.01 vs.controls),In classⅢ(CNP: 36.56±4.77 pg/ml,ADM:65.78±9.06 pg/ml p<0.01 vs.controls and classⅡ),In classⅣ(CNP:71.41±10.28 pg/ml,ADM:105.04±22.21 pg/ml p<0.01vs. controls and classⅡ,classⅢ).There were significant differences between them.3,Pearson relation analysis showed that CNP plasma levels were negatively correlated with LVEF(r=-0.67,p<0.01),so were ADM plasma levels(r=-0.58,p<0.05).Conclusion There is a positive correlation between the elevation of CNP,ADM plasma levels in patients with CHF and their clinical severity;and there is a negatively correlation between the elevation of CNP,ADM plasma levels in patients with CHF and their LVEE CNP,ADM plasma levels can evaluate the severity and the prognosis of CHF.
