Panax notoginseng is belong to the araliaceae plant, it's dry root is medicine which also named Jin BU Huan, Tian Notoginseng, Tian Qi, pseudo-ginseng, Panax ginseng and act. the main production is Yunnan,Guangxi and Sichuan with the function of relieving pain and Swelling. as the traditional precious medicinal herbs of our country,Panax notoginseng has a long history for the treatment of disease. Since the 70's,for the found of that Panax notoginseng contains a number of similar chemical composition of Panax ginseng, that caused a high degree of importance to scholars both at home and abroad, and had a substantial and systematic research to it, including Notoginseng's chemical composition, pharmacological effects and clinical applications.Notoginsenoside is one of the main active ingredient of Panax notoginseng, so far, more than 60 kinds of saponins has been isolated from different parts of Panax notoginseng and most of that are the dammarane-type for the 20 (S) Panaxadiol and 20 - (S) Panaxatriol type, But not oleanolic acid-type saponins was founded, which has a significant difference from ginseng and American ginseng plant. These monomers also contained the same ingredients to ginseng and American ginseng such as ginsenosides Rb1 Rb2,Rb3, Rc, Rd, F2, glycosides and ginsenoside Re, Rg1, Rg2, Rh1. In particular, ginsenoside Rg1 and Rb1 are the highest. In addition, there is also some unique Saponins in Panax notoginseng, such as notoginsenoside R1, R2, R4, R6, Fa, etc.Through the study of the pharmacological activity of panax notoginsenoside(PNS), it has significantly better effects in the hypoxia tolerance, anti-aging, improve immunity of the pharmacological than the ginsenoside. Further more, PNS and some monomers saponin have good activity in the blood system, cardiovascular system, nervous system, metabolism, and anti-inflammatory, anti-tumor activity and so on. In the seen of Chinese traditional medicine, the mainly medicinal parts of Panax notoginseng are in the roots and stems, the main active ingredient is dammarane-type tetracyclic triterpenoid saponins. But modern studies have shown that non-medicinal parts of Panax notoginseng contains the same or similar active ingredients to traditional medicinal parts and has possiblity to replace the medicine parts, so that the source of medicines can be best used , while the other chemical composition can be developed.The flower of panax notoginseng is good for cooler, and have the hypotensive effect and generally used for drinks. Studies have shown that saponins of flower of Panax notoginseng could inhibit a variety of proinflammatory agents induced rat paw swelling and inflammation of mouse ear and certain of anti-inflammatory effect to mouse which is removaled of adrenal gland, suggesting it has strong anti- inflammatory activity. In addition, a number of study of the flower of panax notoginseng also showed that it has obvious effect on the treatment of arrhythmia on lower fat, throat clearance, alcohol- induced liver protection, prevention and other aspects of chemical stomatitis, Therefore, it have greater value to develop the flower of panax notoginseng. because of the research is still fewer. and most are concentrated in the pharmacological activity, it has very important significance to conduct in-depth research to the flower buds of Panax notoginseng in system. in this paper, on the basis of research of the chemical constituents of Panax notoginseng and its biological activity,having more in-depth research on the chemical composition of its bud extraction and isolation,structural identification and biological activity.In this paper, silica gel column chromatography, reversed-phase silica gel column chromatography, recrystallization ware used to isolated 11 single compounds from the flower of Panax notoginseng. According to their physical and chemical properties and UV, IR, 1H-NMR, 13C-NMR, MS spectra and other methods, one of the 10 compounds were identified, they were Ginsenoside-Rc (â… ), ginsenoside-Rd (â…¡) , Gypenosideâ…©â…©(â…©), 20 (R) Ginsenoside-Rg3 (â…£), ginsenoside-Re (â…¤), notoginsenoside-Fe (â…¥), ginsenoside-Rb1 (â…©), ginsenoside-Rb2 (â…§), notoginsenoside-Q (â…¨), ginsenoside-Rb3 (â…©). Among of this,â…£andâ…¤were one of the first Compounds isolated from flower of Panax notoginseng.In addition, 6 saponin's content from flower bud of Panax notoginseng was determined by the use of HPLC method. The results showed that the content of Ginsenoside Rb2 is 5.98 percent, the content of Ginsenoside Rb3 is 20.22 percent, the content of ginsenoside Rc is 16.26 percent, the content of notoginsenoside-Q is 7.76 percent, the content of gypenoside-â…©â…©is 2.50 percent, the content of notoginsenoside-Fe is 1.09 percent. But for the time constraints, the determination of chemical composition was still stay at this level, the work remains to be further in-depth and complement.This article got the experiment of the pharmacological activity on three monomers form buds of Panax notoginseng, The results showed that: Notoginsenoside-Fe and gypenosides-â…©â…¦have a relatively strong inhibition on A549 human lung adenocarcinoma cells, notoginsenoside-Q on A549 also have inhibition on A549 human lung adenocarcinoma cells.This paper reviews the buds of Panax notoginseng and its chemical composition and pharmacological activity. extract and isolated 11 compounds from flower of Panax notoginseng and identification 10 compounds'structural among of this. 6 saponin's content from flower bud of Panax notoginseng was determined by the use of HPLC method, This paper providing a reference to in-depth study and application for flower bud of Panax notoginseng.
