ObjectiveTo observe the effect of the Quchiling on the Alzheimer's disease (AD) model mice. The aim was to provide pharmacodynamics basis for the treatment of the Alzheimer's disease.MethodsThe Kung Ming mice were treated withβ-amyloid peptide 25-35 right lateral ventricle injection to make the AD animal model. The therapeutic groups were treated with Quchiling(ig, 28d) respectively since d8. Huperzine A was made to be a positive control drug. The Morris water-maze test, HE staining and AChE histochemical staining, the ultrastructure of synapses, the brain's content of synaptophysin(SYN) were carried out to approach the effect of Quchiling on the AD model mice.Results(1)By oral administration with Quchiling, the capacity of learning and memory of the AD model mice was improved. (2)Quchiling could increase the density of the AChE-rich fibers, and promote neurite and synapse to regenerate. (3)Low, medium, and high doses of Quchiling could improve the content of SYN, especially the medium doses of Quchiling.ConclusionsQuchiling can meliorate AD model mice's learning and memory deficiency, increase the density of the AChE-rich fibers and improve the content of SYN in the mouse brain. It indicates that Quchiling has the ability of promoting the neurite growth and reconstructing the neural network.
