Analysis Of Health Status Of Daqing Oilfield Employees

Purpose of researchWith our life level improved, the incidence of chronic diseases such as hypertension and hyperlipidemia as well as diabetes increase obviously, and people who get such diseases become younger and younger. These disorders threaten severely people's health. The employees'heath are the guarantee of enterprise development .The critical measures are examining body regularly, controlling employees'health conditions, surveying health problem and risk factors. The aim of our study is that we know the health conditions of Daqing oilfied employees and bring forward special measures for health education by analysis body exam data of employees. Investigate object and methodWe collected data of 4261 Daqing oilfield employees who took body exam at cerebral vascular diseased hospital which affiliated to Daqing oilfied hospital from April to September in 2007. We surveyed some exam results, including blood pressure, biochemical of blood, blood rheology, electrocardiogram(EEG), cervical X-ray, ultrasound and BMI index. We set data by Excel software and analyzed abnormal data which were relative risk factors and incidence of these factors in first 10 kinds of diseases by SSPS13.0 software.Results and DiscussionThere were 2757 male workers and 1864 female workers in body exam group. And the proportion of male and female was 1.48 to 1. Young people were the most part in this group and 90.93% workers were under 50 years old. 3258 workers worked at front line and 1363 workers worked at behind line.The survey showed that there were 954 workers who had normal exam results, and 20.64% over total workers, 344 workers about 7.44% were male, and 610 workers about 13.20% were female. There were 3667 workers, who had abnormal exam results and all kinds of diseases, which meant that about 79.36% workers in this group were abnormal and male were 52.22% and female were 27.14%. The incidence of first ten disorders and abnormal results were hyperlipidemia, fatty liver, hyper viscosi syndrome, abnormal liver function, hypertension, hyperglycemia, abnormal EEG, antigen positive of hepatitis B virus, cervical vertebral disorder and renal calculus. The percentage of incidence of diseases and abnormal results were respectively 25.21%, 20.13%, 16.68%,15.17%,10.78%,7.34%,7.12%, 5.37%, 4.61%,3.61%. All kinds of diseases and abnormal results happened were higher in male than in female. The difference had statistic significance. The incidence of all kinds of diseases and abnormal results had difference in different age group and had statistic significance. And such incidence had increased trend with age increased in the body exam group.The incidence of all kinds of diseases and abnormal results were obviously different in different work in this group. Hypertension and cervical vertebral disorders happened in behind line workers more than in front line workers. And other diseases and abnormal results were happened in front line workers more than in behind line workers.The result of BMI showed that incidence of overweight and obesity were higher in male than in female, which about 53.83% in male and 30.74% in female.The incidence of hypertension, hyperlipidemia hyperglycemia, fatty liver were higher in overweight and obesity workers than in normal weight workers.Relative analysis about blood pressure and hyperlipidemia hyperglycemia, fatty liver showed that incidence of hyperlipidemia hyperglycemia, fatty liver were higher in hypertension workers than in normal blood pressure workers.Relative analysis about blood lipid and hyper viscosi syndrome, hyperglycemia, fatty liver showed that incidence of hyper viscosi syndrome, hyperglycemia ,fatty liver were higher in hyperlipidemia people than in normal blood lipid people.Conclusion:We found by the survey results that the most important causes that affected the health of oilfield employees were hyperlipidemia, fatty liver hyper viscosi syndrome, hypertension, hyperglycemia. The main risk factors which caused all these chronic uninfective diseases were overweight and obesity. The basic measures should be taken are improvement bad style of life, reasonable food, moderate physical exercises, giving up smoking, limiting alcohol and balance psychology. Health education is a very important and economical and effective method that can enhance health quality of employees. Health education is a systemic project. It needs cooperation of medical staffs and leaders of relevant department of enterprise and all employees. Health education system is found including that all level administration as strong backup force, medical staffs as main body, employees as basis. We should take ample styles health education activities that can urge employees come into being good life habits and prevent effectively the happening of chronic diseases such as hypertension hyperglycemia. hyperlipidemia, hyper viscosi syndrome, fatty liver. Oilfield employees shoud have regular body exam. which can lead to early discovery, early diagnosis, early treatment. Maintenance employees'health benefit should be paid more attentions. Knowledge level about scientific prevention diseases and physical exercises are improved by health education in employees and health education should be taken throughout body exam. Body exam results should be told to every worker in time and follow up every worker and guide their health. We can develop health management information system which can make health management arrive high level. According to characters of chronic disorders, we can organize medical experts to edit health education recipes and give health lectures as a direction for employees. Health education and heath management are the guarantee for development of all goals of Daqing oilfield.
