| Objective:To study the Ginger Moxibustion on cytoimmunity and Quality of Life(QOL) in patients with malignant in chemotherapy and to provide a new approach of adjunctive therapy for cancer in the future.Methods:60 patients in patient in Foshan hospital of TCM were divided into ginger moxibustion group and control group,randomly and parallelly under the single blind method.Each group had 30 patients.Ginger moxibustion group was broiled daily at Acupoints Gaohuang(BL43), Geshu(BL17),Pishu(BL20),Weishu(BL21) and Shenshu(BL23) which was beginning at the first chemotherapy day,while the control group was just treated chemotherapy.14 days made a course.T-cell,Natural killer cell,White blood cell,Red blood cell,Thrombocytic,Haemoglobin would be tested and Karnofsky Performance Score,EORTC-QLQ-C30 table would be completed at the day before and after the course.Statistics analysis would be done when clinical work finished.Results:1.At the baseline the two groups has no significant difference in sex,age,cancer type and KPS score(P＞0.05).The comparability is acceptable.2.Ginger moxibustion group has such superiority in the composition of blood cell as T-cell,Natural killer cell,White blood cell,Red blood cell,Thrombocytic,Haemoglobin,the percentage of which is higher than the control group(P＜0.05).3.Karnofsky Performance Score and QOL in EORTC-QLQ-C30 table of ginger moxibustion group perform better than the control group(P＜0.05).4.The score of Physical Functioning,Emotional Functioning,Social Functioning,Role Functioning in EORTC-QLQ-C30 table in the trial group is higher than control group(P＜0.05),while the score of Cognitive Functioning has no significant difference in both groups.Conclusion:Ginger moxibustion as a safe,effective way applying in chemotherapy could stimulate body immunity,improve clinical symptom and promote Quality of Life. |
