Objective To determine the levels of interleukin-2(IL-2),interleukin-6(IL-6)in endocervical discharge and serum of women with Chlamydia trachomatis and its implication. Methods Forty women with CT infection(testteam)and fifteen health women without CT infection(group control)were enrolled for study.Levels of IL-2,IL-6 in endocervical discharge and serum were measured by Radioimmunoassay(RIA)Results1.The mean value of IL-2 in endocervical discharge was(20.37±22.30)ng/ml in testteam,it is higher than that in control group(P<0.05);2.no significant difference of IL-6 in endocervical discharge was found between the testteam and the group control(p>0.05);3.similarly no significant difference of IL-2,IL-6 in serum were found between the testteam and the group control(p>0.05).Conclusion1.The activation of local cellular immune may be one of the important links to the process of CT infection in genital tract and IL-2 plays an very important role in the local immunopathologic mechanisim of CT infection;2.The detection of IL-2,IL-6 in serum has no clinical instructive significance to CT infection in female genital tract...
