It is an important independent risk factor.Therefore,reversal of left ventricular hypertrophy has become an important target of hypertension treatment.Irbesartan as an angiotensinâ…¡receptor antagonist,not only has a good antihypertensive effect and tolerability,but also an effective reversal of left ventricular hypertrophy.Price is also at an advantage on.The purpose of this study with perindopril comparison confirmed that irbesartan unique role in cardiac protection.We hope to be able to provide treatment for hypertension in a new way,thereby enhancing the quality of life of hypertensive patients to avoid unnecessary waste of medical funds.Method:Choose from our 2007 to 2008 to our hospital for treatment of combined left ventricular hypertrophy in mild to moderate hypertensive patients.120 cases were randomly divided into two groups.A group:irbesartan group,B group:perindopril group.Each group has 60 people.A group were given Irbesartan tablets 150 mg / d,oral morning one time;B group were given perindopril 4 mg / d,oral morning one times.A total of medication is 12 months. Course of treatment is not a joint use of other antihypertensive drugs.Adjust dose every two weeks,blood pressure control target of no more than 140/90mmHg.If poorly controlled blood pressure,drug dose doubling.Weekly monitoring of blood pressure,if blood pressure is not achieved after 4 weeks,the patient exit test.Separately in the medication before the medication after 4 weeks,12 months by hand in accordance with international standards require that seat Detect blood pressure.Detect duplicate blood pressure 3 times and averaged.At the day before the experiment and after 12 months,Patients do a color Doppler ultrasound examination of heart.At the experiment if the patient appears with the experimental drug-related adverse reactions(such as dizziness,headache,cough,etc.) and serum potassium,glucose,blood lipids, enzymology experiments abnormal exit.Results:A total of 114 patients in two groups of people complete the entire test after 12 months. The results showed marked antihypertensive effect of two drugs,irbesartan blood pressure target rate of 93.10%(54/58),perindopril group achieved blood pressure rate of 94.64%(53/56), the two drugs compare antihypertensive efficacy without significant statistical difference(P > 0.05);two groups of LVMI(g/m~2) than before treatment were significantly reduced,the difference has statistical significance(P <0.01),the two drugs showed no significant statistical difference(P > 0.05).Conclusion:Irbesartan,perindopril not only can effectively lower blood pressure but also significantly reduce the left ventricular hypertrophy,lower cardiac malignant arrhythmia and the incidence of broken die,have a heart protective effect.
