Clinical Study On The Treatment Of Advanced Cancer Pain With Xiao Zheng Zhi Tong Wai Yong Fang

Objective:To observe the clinical therapeutic effect of the Xiao Zheng Zhi Tong Wai Yong Fang in treating Mid and late stage cancer pain.Methods:124 patients eligible for the study were randomizely assigned into two groups:Treatment group and Control group.Two groups of foundation treatments are the same,such as anti-tumor TCM Inoculation fluid,the oral administration dispels symptoms such as bloating the blood circulation disintoxicating TCM decoction,and nutrition.All the patients in treatment group were administrated with the external TCM plus original three steps and ladders pain-killers.All the patients of Control group were administrated with increasing the original pain-killers dosage or changing the pain-killers according to the pain regions.Record the pain intensity,starting time of effect,the best starting time of effect, duration of remission,treatment number of times,the quality of live and side effect before the medication and latter 24 hours after applying the drugs.Results:124 patients entered the study,in with 64 assigned into Treatment group and 60 assigned into Control group.All the patients have finished the observing period.There was no difference of change of effective rate of analgesia and duration of remission between groups(P＞0.05),in with the total effective rate of Treatment group was 84.38%and the Control group was 88.33%.The mean time of starting time of effect and the best starting time of effect of the Treatment group was shorter than Control group.The order of the analgesic effect of Xiao Zheng Zhi Tong Wai Yong Fang on pain spots is:chest flank＞back＞four limbs department＞abdomen＞waist.The effect of moderate cancer pain was better than sever cancer pain.The average treatment cycle of Xiao Zheng Zhi Tong Wai Yong Fang approximately is 8 days.Xiao Zheng Zhi Tong Wai Yong Fang can also improve the patients' quality of live.The side effect formation rate of treatment was lower than the control group obviously,such as disgusting, vomiting,dizziness.It has not presented skin's serious side effect.Conclusion:1.The Xiao Zheng Zhi Tong Wai Yong Fang plus the analgesic guidelines based on 3-step ladder had a synergetic effect in pain relief.There was a trend the patients added the Xiao Zheng Zhi Tong Wai Yong Fang could gain the stable pain relief earlier and easier.2.Xiao Zheng Zhi Tong Wai Yong Fang plus the analgesic guidelines based on 3-step ladder was more effective on improving the quality of live,with few side effect.3.Xiao Zheng Zhi Tong Wai Yong Fang has a better effective rate for chest flank and back than Internal organs pain,and has a worst effective rate for waist pain of bone metastases.4.The effect of Xiao Zheng Zhi Tong Wai Yong Fang for moderate cancer pain was better than sever cancer pain.5.The average treatment cycle of Xiao Zheng Zhi Tong Wai Yong Fang approximately is 8 days and is longer for moderate cancer pain than sever cancer pain.
