In this paper, the cultural adaptability, Huperzine A (Hup A) content and proteomics analysis were carried out, using Huperzia serrata (Thunb.ex Murray)Trev. from different areas as materials. The results were as follows:1,Through the allocation of resources, Huperzia serrata(Thunb.ex Murray)Trev. was more suitable for growing under the environmental conditions of higher degree shading and relative high humidity. The plants grown healthy, which was up to more than 20cm high, fast growing and developing, and much more spores on the place with higher humidity. While the plants grown weakly, which was about 10-15cm height, slow growing and developing, less spores . The result of soil treatment showed that the thehumic thicker layer sand soil was conducive to the growth of H. serrata.2,Through the introduction and acclimatization, the survival rate of H. serrata from different places was statistically significantly different (P< 0.05). The survival rate (65.5%) of the plant from Datian was higher than that from the other, but the plant had the lowest survival rate (14.3%) from Nanjing and weak growing potential. This discrepancy might be explained by the fact that H. serrata needs enough crown closure degree during the cultivation. The results also showed that the plant growth in loess had higher survival rate (75.0%) and strong growth potential, the plant growing in paddy field soil had lower survival rate (18.8%) and weak growth potential. As above description, the better environmental condition was loess and shade in the cultication, H. serrata from Datian was more suitable for the cultivation environment.3,The content of Hup A was determined by HPLC. The condition of HPLC was Waters C18 culumn, 1ml/min flow rate, mobile phase (MeOH:NH4OAc=30:70), detection at 310 nm, 30°C column temperature, 10μl sample size. The result showed that the content of Hup A in stem was three times higher than that in leave. Both contents of Hup A in stem (197.796μg/g) and leave (87.537μg/g) from Datian were the higher than that from Sanming and Nanjing. The content of Hup A in H. serrata from different places was obviously statistically significantly different (P< 0.01).4,The results of proteomics analyse showed that the electrophoretogram of protein in the plants from different places had 15 defferent mass points by Imagemaser 2D Elite 5.0 (image analysis software.). There were high abundances in 2, 4, 7, 11 mass point from Datian, high abundances in 3, 5, 8,14, 15 mass point from Sanming and the abundances in other six mass points from Nanjing.
