Clinical Observation On The Therapy Of Ischemic Optic Neuropathy By Regulating The Function Of Liver And Opening Orifice

Objective:Through literature research and clinical observation, establish the character of ischemic optic neuropathy ,using the method of regulating the function of liver and opening orifice treat the NAION,to investigate its clinical efficacy and to provide new ideas for treatment.Methods:Throgh literature research in classic literature of TCM and modern research results,respectively descript TCM and western research on the ischemic optic neuropathy of the etiology, pathogenesis and treatment of ideas and principles . Completed a clinical study from January 2007 to December 2008 in Shandong University of TCM Affiliated Hospital of Ophthalmology out-patient clinics and wards, in line with the diagnostic criteria for38 cases(45) of NAION patients.Easy to follow the principles of randomized controlled, divided into two groups: the treatment group and the control group. Control group, 19 cases (23) using conventional treatment, such as intravenous Ligustrazine improve retinal circulation, with the vitamin B group and ATP, as well as neurotrophic drugs,two weeks for a course of treatment, a total of 1 - 3 courses. Treatment group 19 cases (22) in the control group on the basis of the increase to regulating liver and opening orifice mainly oral decoction of Chinese medicine, one / day, two weeks for a course of treatment, a total of 1 - 3 courses. Early lesions, both the treatment group and the control group in accordance with conditions of patients given prednisolone 40-60mg morning suits, combined with a gradual reduction after one week.Observed before and after treatment visual acuity, MS, MD, hemorheology and blood lipid changes.Result:Total included in patients with ischemic optic neuropathy in 38 cases (45), respectively, compared with before treatment, two groups after treatment visual acuity, MS, MD have a significant difference (P <0.05);treatment group, blood rheological and lipids with significant difference (P <0.05); At the same time, two groups after treatment comparing, the visual acuity , MS, MD are significantly different (P <0.05); two groups comparing the total effective rate is significant differences (P <0.05).Conclusion: Regulating the function of liver and opening orifice mainly in the treatment of ischemic optic neuropathy, can improve patient's visual acuity, MS and reduce MD, and thus effectively improve the patient's visual function. Simultaneously with the control group compared ,the treatment group can improve patients with better hemorheology and blood lipid, improvement in patients with systemic conditions, contribute to ischemic optic neuropathy treatment, TCM embodies the whole concept and idea of both temporary and permanent cures.
