Objective: The outcomes of 4 common optic neuropathies were observed in patients with diabetic retinopathy(DR)treated with Pan-Retinal laser photocoagulation(PRP).Methods: A retrospective analysis of 151 cases of 164 eyes of DR patients who underwent PRP treatment in our hospital from 2007 to 2017,57 males and 94 females,aged(26-78 years),with an average of 56.04±10.40 years, diabetes duration For 1-23 months, with an average of 7.7 ± 6.88 months, all patients underwent an international standard visual acuity chart to measure best-corrected visual acuity(BCVA).There were 132 eyes(54.10%)without optic neuropathy and 112 eyes(45.90%)with optic neuropathy.Among them,8 eyes of diabetic papillary edema(DP),59 eyes of anterior ischemic optic neuropathy(AION),35 eyes of neovascula Iization on disc(NVD),10 eyes of optic atrophy. The improvement of optic neuropathy was evaluated by comparing BCVA before and after PRP treatment with fluorescein fluorescein angiography(FFA)and fundus photography. Results: 1.The preoperative patient's Log MAR BCVA was 0.0-4.0,with an average of0.84±0.66.Among the 4 kinds of optic neuropathy patients,DP accounted for 7.14%,AION accounted for 52.68%,NVD accounted for 31.25%,and optic nerve atrophy accounted for 8.93%.There was no significant difference in age and gender between the two groups(P>0.05).2.The BCVA of patients with DP and NVD after PRP treatment was significantly higher than that before treatment(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in BCVA between AION and optic atrophy patients after PRP treatment(P>0.05).3,Through the observation of fundus photography and FFA,it was found that after PRP treatment, compared with AION,NVD and optic atrophy patients, the significant regression of edema in DP patients was statistically significant(P<0.05);4.After PRP treatment, the rate of BCVA in patients with NVD was significantly higher than that in patients with neovascularization(P<0.05).Conclusion: 1.Among the 4 kinds of optic neuropathy,AION patients were the most,NVD was the second, and DP and optic atrophy were the least;2,DP and NVD patients after PRP treatment,BCVA increased compared with before. After ARP and optic atrophy patients,BCVA was not improved after PRP treatment;3,after PRP treatment,DP patients with papilledema disappeared.
