Objective:To investigate the influence of inflammation network, endothelial cell and platelet activation on the pathology of SLE immunity thrombophilia, and approach the intervene effect of safflor injection and Western medicine on the prethrombotic state of SLE, to provide theory according for therapy immunity hypercoagulabale state by the traditional Chinese medicine. Methods:Observed 85 systemic lupus erythematosus(SLE) patients, including 31 stable stage patients and 54 active stage patients. Interleukin-6(IL-6), IL-8, IL-10, IL-18, solubility thrombomodulin(sTM) and solubility vascular cell adhesion molecule-1 (sVCAM-1) were detected by enzyme linked immunoabsorbent assay (ELISA), and the levels of CD11b on the surface of neutrophi, P-selectin (CD62p) and actived glycopr- oteinâ…¡b/â…¢a binding site of platelet (PAC-1) were determined with flow cytometry (FCM).Results:1.The level of inflammatory adhesion factors IL-6, IL-8, IL-10, IL-18 and CD11b is stepped up in the patients with SLE active stage (P<0.05), These factors were nearly normal in stable phase group (P>0.05).2.The level of endothelial cell active factors sTM and sVCAM-1 in SLE active patients was significantly higher than stable patients and control group (P<0.05), there was no difference statistically between stable stage and control group (P>0.05).3.In SLE active patients, the level of platelet active factor CD62p was raised obv- iously (P<0.05), which was nearly normal in stable phase group (P>0.05). Although compared with control group the level of PAC-1 had the tendency of raising in active stage and stable stage, there was no statistically significant (P>0.05).4.In the patients with SLE active stage, the level of IL-6, IL-8, IL-10, IL-18, CD11b, sTM, sVCAM-1 and CD62p was dramatically stepped down after theraping of conventional Western medicine (P<0.05). These factors dropped dramatically in SLE patients after theraping of combined safflor injection and Western medicine (P<0.05), and the effect is more obvious than that of only giving conventional Western medicine (P<0.05).Conclusions:1. There existed the releasing of inflammatory adhesion factors in SLE active stage, which might be related to inducing or aggravating the immunity thrombophilia.2. The abnormal endothelial cell and platelet activation might be one of important factors that participate in inducing thrombophilia of SLE active stage.3. Conventional drug and combined Traditional Chinese medicine Carthamus tinct- orius and Western medicine treatments can relieve pathogenetic condition and improve the immunity prethrombotic state of SLE effectively. The effect of combined Traditional Chinese medicine Carthamus tinctorius and Western medicine is stronger than Western medicine.
