Objective:To observe the expressions of Fas and FADD between in Basal cell carcinoma(BCC) and Squamous cell carcinoma(SCC),analyze difference and significance of their expressions. Methods:Fas and FADD were assayed by immunohistochemistry techniques(SABC) in specimens from 33 BCC,27 SCC and 10 normal skin, observed and accounted positive cells by optics microscope.According to the integrate of positive cells, the results were analyzed by T test and correlation analyse.Results:(1) Fas,FADD were both positive expression in normal skin tissue.(2) The expressions of Fas in BCC,SCC were lower than in normal skin tissue, which showed difference(P<0.05);the expressions of FADD in BCC,SCC were lower than in normal skin tissue, which showed difference(P<0.05);(3) The integrate of positive cells of Fas,FADD was positive correlation with tumor vicious degree of SCC,which showed difference(P<0.05);but the integrate of positive cells of Fas,FADD wasn't correlation with tumor vicious degree of BCC, which showed indifference(P>0.05);(4) The expressions of Fas,FADD was positive correlation which showed significant difference(P<0.05);(5)There was no significant difference of Fas,FADD expression among different sex,age or course groups(P>0.05).Conclusions:The aberrant expression of Fas,FADD proteins played an important role in the pathogenesis and development of BCC and SCC.The higher the rates of these protein aberrant expressions were, the more malignancy SCC was, which was helpful for the pathological diagnosis of SCC,and Fas,FADD might be the index of refecting prognostic SCC.FADD might be play an important role in the apoptosis pathway' Fas protein of the skin tumor.
