| Objiective: This study is designed to investigate the role of LDH-A and LDH-B in the pathogenesis of basal cell carcinoma(BCC)and squamous cell carcinoma(SCC)by observing the expressions of LDH-A and LDH-B in basal and squamous cell carcinoma,and their clinical significances.Hope to provide new approaches and methods in the prevention,diagnosis and treatment for BCC and SCCMethods: The expressions of LDH-A and LDH-B were detected by Maxvision immunohistoehemistry in 65 basal cell carcinoma,44 squamous cell carcinoma and 16 normal skin specimens,which were diagnosed by department of dermatology and pathology of the affilated hospital of Southwest medical university in December 2011 to December 2016.The immunohistochemical expression was observed through optical microscope.Immune semi-quantitative and SPSS statistical software was used to analyze the results in this study.Results:1.Compared with skin tissues,the positive expression rate of LDH-A and LDH-B in the tissue of BCC and SCC incresed significantly(P<0.05).The expressions of LDH-A:In 65 patients with BCC,42 patients with positive expression,the positive rate was 64.6%.In 44 casesof SCC,40 cases of positive expression,the positive rate was 90.9%.There are 3 cases with positive expression in 20 cases of normal tissue,positive rate was 15%;The expressions of LDH-B:In 65 patients with BCC,55 cases of positive expression,positive rate was 84.6%.In 44 cases of SCC,37 cases present positive expression,the positive rate was 84.1%.In 20 cases with 2 cases appear positive expression in normal tissue,the positive rate is 10.0%.2.The positive expression rate of LDH-A in the tissue of SCC was above the BCC(P<0.05),the positive expression rate of LDH-A and LDH-B in the tissue of BCC and SCC have no significant difference after statistics analysis(P>0.05).3.To come to the conclusion that,The positive expression of LDH-A in the tissue of poorly differentiated SCC is better than high differentiated SCC(P<0.05).The expression of LDH-A in the undifferentiated type BCC is stronger than differentiated BCC(P<0.05).LDH-A expression in well-differentiated SCC: positive expression rate was 85%,among which weakly positive expression rate was 45.0%,medium positive expression was 15.0% and strong positive expression was 25.0%.Expression of LDH-A in poorly differentiated type of SCC: the positive expression rate of them was 95.8%,of which weakly positive expression was 4.2%,20.8% was the medium positive expression,70.8% of them present strong positive expression;The expression of LDH-A indifferentiation typeBCC: The positive expression rate is 46.7%,among them,the weakly positive expression rate is 30.0%,moderate positive expression rate is 10.0%,strong positive expression rate is 6.7%;The expression of LDH-A in undifferentiated type BCC: The positive expression rate is 80.0%,among which weakly positive expression rate was11.4%,and the moderate positive expression rate of them was 37.2%,31.4% was the strong positive expression rate.4.The positive expression of LDH-B in the tissue of poorly differentiated SCC is lower than high differentiated SCC(P<0.05).The expression of LDH-B in the undifferentiated type BCC is lower than differentiated BCC(P<0.05).The expression of LDH-B inhigh differentiation type of SCC: the positive expression rate was 95.0%,among which weakly positive expression was 5.0%,moderate positive expression was 40.0%,strong positive expression was 50.0%;The expression of LDH-B in poorly differentiated SCC:positive expression rate of themwas 75.0%,among which the weakly positive expression of them was 45.8%,moderate positive expression was 20.8%,strong positive expression was 8.4%;The expression of LDH-B in differentiation type of BCC: the positive expression rate of them was 93.7%,among which the weakly positive expression rate was 6.7%,the moderate positive expression rate of them was 36.6%,and the strong positive expression rate of them was 50.0%;The expression of LDH-B in undifferentiated type of BCC: thepositive expression rate of them was 77.1%,among them,weakly positive expression rate was 45.7%,the moderate positive expression rate of them was 22.9%,and the strong positive expression rate of them was 8.5%;5.There is no correlation of the expression level of LDH-A and LDH-B between BCC and SCC(P>0.05).Conclusion: 1.The levels of LDH-A and LDH-B were significantly increased in the tissue of BCC an SCC,Which suggest that LDH-A and LDH-B may play an important role in the pathogenesis of basal cell carcinoma and squamous cell carcinoma.2.The expression of LDH-A increased with the malignant degree of BCC and SCC,on the contrary,the expression of LDH-B decreased with the malignant degree of BCC and SCC,which suggest that the LDH-A may promote the development and progression of SCC and BCC,LDH-B could inhibit the development and progression of SCC and BCC.3.LDH-A and LDH-B have the potential to be good markers of basal cell carcinoma and squamous cell carcinoma. |
