" Observe the status of breast enlargement and syndromes improvements after the treatments. Finally, evaluate the curative effects according to these results. Methods:Patients that meet the diagnostic criteria and adopting norm were divided into two groups voluntarily: the treatment group and the blank control group (Group C). Based on the random digits table, the former was divided into Group A (treating with both acupuncture and moxibustion) and Group B (treating with moxibustion only). Totally there were 30cases in Group A, 29 cases in Group B and 30cases in Group C. Group A and B were given treatments once per day, six days per week. Every four weeks formed an course of treatment, and each course was an observation period. Patients in Group C were given no interventions, and lived as usual. The whole therapy lasted for two courses of treatment. Data was recorded and analyzed at the end of each course.Results:1. After two courses of treatments, significant differences in curative effect was found among three groups (P<0.05). The general curative effect of Group A (86.67%) was higher than Group B (31.03%) and Group C (P<0.05). That means the curative effect of both acupuncture and moxibustion treatment was better then moxibustion only.2. By comparing the breast enlargement status among the three groups, the post-treatment status of chest circumference and breast volume showed significant differences (P<0.05). The enlargement extent in Group A was better than Group B and Group C. Significant differences were also found in Group A with own controlled comparison.3. On the aspect of syndrome improvement, significant differences emerged among three groups after the therapy (P<0.05). The effective rate of Group A (63.33%) was greater than Group B (20.68%) and Group C (0). When comparing the syndrome scores of each group at each treatment period, significant score differences could also be found(P<0.05)4. During the whole courses of therapy, there were not any side-effects, neopathys or sequelas caused by acupuncture or moxibustion.Conclusion:1. After the whole therapy, the total curative effect could be shown as Group A (with both acupuncture and moxibustion treatment) > Group B(with moxibustion treatment)>Group C (Blank controlled group).2. On the aspect of breast enlargement, significant differences were found after the therapy. With their own controlled comparison, the patients' breasts had enlarged significantly in Group A and Group B. Compared with Group B, the patients' breasts in Group A had greater enlargement.3. The level of breast enlargement was non-direct ratio related with time. The research showed the enlargement of breast occurred mainly in the first course of treatment.4. After two courses of treatment, the syndrome improvement of spleen and stomach deficiency had significant differences among three groups. The improvement in Group A(with acupuncture and moxibustion treatments) was greater than that in Group B (with moxibustion treatment)5. Concerning no side-effects, it is testified that the "Jin's Three-needle Therapy" is a brand new save and effective method for breast enlargement.
