| Cervical Spondylotic Radiculopathy(CSR)is the most common type of Cervical Spondylosis.The incidence of CSR is the highest than that of others. Massage therapy is a effective method totreat CSR.and recently its advantages, such as simple operation,effect recognized,quick results,less adverse effect.etc.are widely recognized by experts in research work at home and abroad.As far as Manipulation is concerned,bow to play a more practical advantage of the overall treatment?how to find out a targeted and more effective treatment?it is urgent for traditional treatment methods for CSR to be tackled.Proprioceptive Sensibility Reflexotherapy,from the perspective of the Chinese medicine overall theory,reasonably develops and makes use of the laws of the human body structure.It is a non-invasive manipulation approach, conditioning,trimming,conserving skeletal muscle in order to maintain the body's natural balance of the environment,to prevent and cure diseases,and to play a role of physical fitness.Proprioceptive Sensibility Reflexotherapy with many advantages of less of risk,effective,patients willing to accept is widely used to treat CRS,and it is much more superior to other treatments for CSR through a large number of clinical practice.Therefore,more and more doctors are prepared to use it.PurposeThis thesis is to carry out randomized controlled trial by the methods of Clinical Epidemiology,Design,Measurement and Evaluation in clinical research(DME),mathematical statistics and etc.so as to explore the short clinical effect on cervical spondylotic radiculopathy with proprioceptive sensibility reflexotherapy and to preliminary provide a basis for standardized study of Chinese medicine treatment.MethodSixty patients with cervical spondylotic radiculopathy were random assigned into two groups,30 patients were treated with proprioceptive sensibility reflexotberapy and the other 30 patients were treated with Maitland manipulation. The curative effect was evaluated with the range of motion(ROM),the visual analog scale(VAS)and the symptoms grading of cervical spondylosis.Epidata software was adopted to establish regular databases,SPSS15.0 software was adopted to carry out the data processing and analyses.Measurement data were measured by((?)±S)and nominal data were measured by ratio(%).The measurement data of two groups were compared with independent sample t test when equal variances assumed or with independent sample t'test or Wilcoxon test when not.The nominal data of two groups were compared with Pearson Chi Square test. And ordinal data of two groups were compared with Wilcoxon test.Statistical graphs were made by Graph Pad Prism4.03.ResultsBefore and after comparison between trial group and control group after six treatments indicates that the differnce is statistically significant and there is obvious improvement in some indicators than those in pretreatment,for example:symptoms of cervical spondylosis(limb numbness,frequency of attact time,limb muscle strength,the joint movement),range of motion,VAS score,the pressure score of pain.Between the two groups of comparison,the differnce in above indicators is not statistically significant except frequency of attact time and the trial group is better than the control group.Comparison of the total curative effect between the two groups is statistically significant and the trial group is higher than the control group.However,the comparison of the total effective rate is not statistically significant.Neither of the groups has adverse reactions during the research.ConclusionTo cure CSR,the reflexotherapy of proprioception can improve limb numbness, reduce the frequency of attack time,increase range of motion and also ease pain effectively.Its effectiveness is similar with Maitland manipulation. The reflexotherapy is better than Maitland manipulation in improving frequency of attact time,and also in the total effective rate.With the characteristics of safety and obove proved advangtages,the reflexotherapy has its own clinical and research values. |
