| Objective:To evaluate the efficacy of the proprioceptive sensibility reflexotherapy by tendon acupuncture needling into a trigger point in patients with proprioceptive disorder of cervical vertigo.Methods:79 patients with proprioceptive disorder of cervical vertigo who had been treated in the Second Affiliated Hospital of Nanchang University from January 2015 to September 2016 were divided randomly into two groups: treatment group(42cases)and control group(37 cases). The treatment group received the proprioceptive sensibility reflexotherapy with tendon acupuncture needling into a trigger point in the neck. And the control group was given traditional traction, massage and intermediate frequency therapy in 2 courses(10 days for each course). The efficacy was based on the before-and-after comparison of the patients’ CV features and clinical symptoms, the joint position Error(JPE)and stability index(ST).Comparison of counting data use chi-square test;the measurement data is expressed as x ±s;comparison between the same group use the paired t test;the comparison between groups use independent samples t test;P <0.05 was considered to be statistically significant. Results:Both groups got improved in the cervical vertigo symptoms and function,JPE as well as ST(P<0.05),especially for treatment group with great difference(P<0.05).Conclusion:The proprioceptive sensibility reflexotherapy with tendon acupuncture needling into a trigger point induces more significant improvement in the treatment for cervical vertigo than traditional treatment. |
