The Expressions Of YB-1 And P53 In The Epithelial Ovarian Tumor And Their Significance

Objective The paper aims to perform a tentative probe into YB-1 and P53 expression of the epithelial ovarian tumor and the clinic significance.Methods Immunohistochemical method was applied to examining YB-1 and P53 protein expression in 50 patients with epithelial ovarian cancer,5 borderline and 6 benign epithelial ovarian tumor.Results As regards YB-1,firstly,expression is absent in YB-1 protein with borderline and benign epithelial ovarian tumor.Secondly,among all the patients with ovarian cancer, 46%are found to be positive and significantly discrepant(χ~2=4.6836,3.9531,P＜0.05). Thirdly,the positive expression of YB-1 protein with malignant tumor is irrelevant to histological grading(χ~2=0.098,P＞0.05) and different degree(χ~2=1.8304,0.9580,P＞0.05). Fourthly,the probability of positive expression in clinicalⅠandⅡphases is lower thanⅢandⅣphases(χ~2=13.70,P＜0.05).Concerning P53,firstly,the probability of P53 protein positive expression in epithelial ovarian cancer is noticeably higher than those in borderline ovarian tumor and in benign ovarian tumor(χ~2=6.2566,P＜0.05;χ~2=5.3036,P＜0.05). Secondly,the positive expression of P53 protein with malignant cancer is irrelevant to histological grading(χ~2=0.005,P＞0.05).Thirdly,the probability of G1 and G2 positive expression is markedly lower than those of G3(χ~2=5.154,P＜0.05;χ~2=7.54,P＜0.05). Fourthly,the probability of positive expression in clinicalⅠandⅡphases is lower thanⅢandⅣphases(χ~2=5.236,P＜0.05).In addition,the expression of YB-1 protein and that of P53 protein with epithelial ovarian cancer cases are found to be closely connected to each other(r=0.369,P＜0.01).Conclision YB-1 protein and P53 protein are relevant to occurrence and progress of epithelial ovarian cancer;examining YB-1 protein and P53 protein can be used as an indicator for judging poor prognosis,and can provide new target for research on epithelial ovarian cancer.
