Objective:To study the expression of Survivin and Annexin II protein in epithelial ovarian tumor tissue, analyzed the relationship between the two proteinsMethods:60 cases of epithelial ovarian cancer were collected from Nov 2008 to Mar 2011 in Departments of Gynaecology and Obstetrics of Hunan Provincial People's Hospital and Hunan Provincial Tumor Hospital, Meanwhile 28 cases of epithelial ovarian tumour and 30 cases of normal ovarian tissue collected were collected as controls. SP immunohistochemistry method was used to detect the expression of Survivin and Annexin II proteins in ovarian tissues.Results:.①The positive expression rate of Survivin protein in epithelial ovarian malignant tumor tissue was 63.3%, significant higher than the normal ovarian tissue (6.7%, P<0.01) and epithelial ovarian nonmalignant tumor tissue(21.4%, P<0.01), but the latter two groups positive rate didn't exist statistical significance(P>0.05). The positive expression rate of Annexin II protein in epithelial ovarian malignant tumor tissue was 81.7%, significant higher than the normal ovarian tissue (13.3%, P<0.01) and epithelial ovarian nonmalignant tumor tissue(42.9%, P<0.01).②The expression of Survivin protein existed intimate relation with clinical pathology staging, the positive rate of III-IV stages was 78.4%, significant higher thanⅠ~Ⅱstages (39.1%, P<0.01). And Survivin positive expression rate was positivly related with tumor pathology grades(P<0.01). The protein positive expression rate accompanying lymphaden metastasis were significant higher than that without metastasis(P<0.01), but there was no relation between Survivin protein expression and tissue types(P=0.903). The expression of Annexin II protein in epithelial ovarian malignant tumor tissue was also similar to Survivin protein expression expcept pathology grades.③Survivin protein expression in epithelial ovarian malignant tumor was positive relation with AnnexinⅡprotein expression (r=0.355, P=0.005).Conclusions:1). Survivin, and AnnexinⅡin epithelial ovarian cancer showed a high expression.2). Survivin and AnnexinⅡin epithelial ovarian carcinoma with clinical pathological stage, tumor grade, metastasis are closely related.3). Expression of Survivin and Annexin II existed significant positive correlation.
