Objective To explore the value of serum cardiac troponinT(cTnT) and serum creatine kinase isoenzyme(CK-MB) in diagnosing the myocardial damage induced by daunorubicin(DNR) by investigating the changes of serum cTnT and CK-MB content in the rats. Methods 20 male wistar rats were randomly divided into two groups: the daunorubicin(DNR) treatment group(10 cases) and the control group (10cases).The treatment group was given daunorubicin(DNR) 2.0mg/kg every 3 days for 6 times by tail vein injection. The control group was given normal saline 1.0ml/kg every 3 days for 6 times by tail vein injection. The content of serum CK-MB and cTnT were measured at 0,6,12,18day (accumulated dose of DNR:0,4,8,12 mg/kg)Results The content of serum CK-MB showed no significant change (P>0.05) in treatment group, while the content of serum cTnT increased (P<0.01).On the other hand, there was no significant change of serum cTnT and serum CK-MB in control group. Conclusion After administrating the daunorubicin(DNR) in rats, the change of cTnT was more significant comparing to the serum CK-MB.We can use cTnT as a clinic method to detect myocardial damage induced by daunorubicin.
