As a new non-invasive cancer treatment method,high intensity focused ultrasound(HIFU) therapy has become a hotspot in international ultrasound treatment field.Monitoring during HIFU treatment is one of the keys to assure high efficient and safe treatment,which has become a important problem in need of being solved during HIFU technology development.As an indispensable in monitoring technology,the evaluation of HIFU treatment effect is studied incompletely nowadays, and there are a lot of questions left to be explored.Under the condition that HIFU and mode B ultrasonic device are combined to use in experiment,both of the methods to check the biological tissue denaturation and the relation between image characteristic and the degree of lesion in treatment regions are studied from the view of image processimg in this paper.The main work we have done in this paper is as follows:1,Image preprocessing.Image substraction as well as image denoising are used in Mode B ultrasonic images before and after HIFU radiation,which achieve the goal that the interference is removed and the information of lesion region is stressed.2,Checking biological tissue denaturation.The effects of different image characteristic parameters on the application of checking biological tissue denaturation are compared;at the same time neutral network is constructed by combining wavelet with fractal imtercept characteristic parameters based on above.The result shows that it can gain good effect that both the wavelet transform coefficient and fractal intercept are used in tissue denaturation analysis,and different parameter has its own advantages;combining above two prarameters,the checking effect can be enhanced after trained by neural network.3,The relation between image characteristic and the degree of lesion tissue.Refering to the slice result,the relation among the characteristic of mode B ultrasonic image and the degree of lesion in treatment regions and HIFU dosage is studied.The result shows that the correlation between image grey value and HIFU doze is positive within a certain range;the average of gray value would be not increased as HIFU doze increasing when HIFU doze arrived at a certain enough level;the average of gray value would be not increased as the accretion of the size of lesion region,there are obvious ambits of the average of grey in different grades.A large amount of experiment study has been made in this paper,and both the methods to check biological tissue denaturation and to evaluate the degree of lesion in treatment regions are studied based on analyzing a lot of data samples.These methods which are good for the evaluation of HIFU treatment effect,are available for real time monitoring in HIFU treatment.The work done in this paper is for significance to HIFU treatment,which is helpful for promoting the application and development of HIFU technology.
