Objective: We study on the polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) patients by test the plasma acylation-stimulating protein(ASP),adiponectin(APN) and evaluate insulin resistance(IR), we try to implore the relationship between plasma ASP,APN and IR in patient with PCOS.Method: We grouped 65 subject based on body mass index (BMI) and weather suffered from PCOS.BMI≥25kg/㎡is granted obese, BMI<25kg/㎡is normal. 30 Polycystic ovary syndrome subjects and 15 normal subjects were divided into four groups: 16 obese PCOS patients group(obese PCOS group,OP),14 PCOS patients with normal BMI(non-obese PCOS group,NP),17 obese subjects without PCOS(obese control group,Ob) and 18 normal subjects (non-obese control group,NC).Plasma ASP and APN were determined by ELISA (enzyme linked immunosorbent assay), plasma insulin was determined by electrochemiluminescence immunoassay and plasma glucose was determined by glucose oxidation enzyme method. Use homeostasis model assessment (HOMA) to estimate insulin resistance. The index is HOMA-IR. All indexes were measured using fasting samples. Results: (1) The level of Plasma acylation-stimulating protein of OP group and NP group were both higher than the level of Ob group and NC group (P<0.05) (2)The level of APN of OP group is lower than the level of NP group, the level of APN of Ob group is lower than the level of NP group (P<0.05) (3)Plasma ASP is positive with BMI,HOMA–IR and negatively related with APN significantly. Conclusions: Acylation-stimulating protein is increase in PCOS patients compared with healthy women. The level of plasma ASP of obese PCOS patients is higher than non obese PCOS patients. The level of plasma APN is particularly decrease in obese PCOS patients. Plasma ASP is positive with BMI,HOMA–IR and negatively related with APN significantly. |
